Just the way there is an experience in itself...
In summer, the famous Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße leads to the Bielerhöhe. In winter, this is blocked, so one takes another "unique route" onward and upward, and this way is definitely unique!
The meeting point for the Bielerhöhe adventure is the Vermuntbahn ropeway in Partenen, which takes the experience-seekers to Trominier (1,731 m) in only 5 minutes. One continues with small buses through tunnels and the wintry alpine landscape of the Silvretta mountains up to the Bielerhöhe at 2,032 m. There, a fantastic view of the wintry, mountainous world of the Silvretta is revealed to visitors, with the highest mountain in Vorarlberg, the Piz Buin (3,312 m). In the middle of this breathtaking panorama is the Silvrettasee, which from the end of January is covered with a thick layer of ice and snow.
This is how you reach the valley station of the Vermuntbahn in Partenen!
