Explore the Silvretta and Verwall mountains

The two cableways Vermuntbahn and Tafamuntbahn are both located in Partenen. Within walking distance of each other,  they bring you to the Silvretta or Verwallgebirge.

Vermuntbahn

Your way to the Silvretta Alps

The ascent into the Silvretta Mountains is a very special experience with the Vermuntbahn. The cable car overcomes a height difference of almost 700 meters and brings you safely up. From the mountain station, the tunnel bus - often also called tunnel taxi because of the yellow color - takes you on the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe.

Travelling with a dog

Dogs are welcome and free of charge on the Vermunt- and Tafamuntbahn. In the large cabins, dogs should be kept on a leash and a muzzle is necessary. These can also be purchased directly from the cable car.

Tafamuntbahn

Your way to the Verwall Alps

The Tafamuntbahn is a cable car that operates only during summer.

The valley station of the 1,421 m long railway is located in Partenen, directly opposite the valley station of the Vermuntbahn.

Arrived at 1,550 m at the mountain station, an idyllic alpine landscape with lush pastures stretches out in front of you. The ideal starting point for a family hike to Wiegensee - a unique high moor landscape.
