An Overview of the operating hours of Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße, Tafamunt- and Vermuntbahn

Summer season 2024

Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße

Access from the Montafon side is only possible in dry weather conditions and within the time frame of 07:00 to 18:30. Night closure: from 18:30 to 07:00.

In case of rainfall or poor visibility, the road will be closed immediately! Please note that when the road is closed, no passage or return via Montafon is possible. Access to the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe from the Tyrolean side remains unrestricted up to the Vermuntsee.

Tafamuntbahn

opening hours 05 august - 13 october 2024
Monday-Friday
  • One ascent at 7:30 a.m. and one at 7:45 a.m., no further rides
  • Due to construction work, the Tafamuntbahn-Versalspitze hiking trail is closed during the week, so the mountain station is not served on these days.
Saturday,  Sunday & public holidays
  • from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1 p.m. to 4.45 p.m. (last descent)
  • For tours to the Versalspitze, the cable car runs to the mountain station from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

How to get to the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe

Winter season 2024/25

Vermuntbahn and tunnel bus

Daily operation from 25 December 2024 - 01 May 2025

8.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon and from 01.00 p.m. to 04.00 p.m.

  • Last ascent from Partenen to Bielerhöhe: 4.00 p.m.
  • Last descent from Bielerhöhe to Partenen (tunnel bus): 4.00 p.m.

The natural ice surface of the Silvrettasee is closed to all traffic!
