Montafon Silvretta round ​|​ Silvretta​-​Bielerhöhe to Tübinger Hut

Approach

Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit and continue on the Montafonerstraße L188 to Partenen to the toll station for the Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße. Via the Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße you then reach the Vermuntsee and further on to the Silvrettasee. (Toll road)

The regional buses operate throughout the Montafon. The main lines run every half hour from Schruns train station.

Arrival by train to Montafon

From Bludenz train station, the Montafonerbahn runs hourly (partly every half hour). There are also direct connections from Lindau (DE) and Bregenz.

Parking

Above the Silvrettahaus, you will find a signposted car park.

Directions

From the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe car park, the mountain route leads westward through the Großvermunttal. The path gently rises past the end of the Vermunt reservoir before the ascent to the Hochmadererjoch. The path then goes slightly downhill to the Tübinger Hut.

Alpine mountain path – may include safety cables and footholds!

Equipment

Good ankle-high mountain boots with a good grip, sufficient food and drinks to take along, walking sticks recommended

Tips

Due to high demand at the huts, we recommend booking sleeping places directly at the Tübinger Hut early enough.
