The road connection on the Vorarlberg side remains closed. Despite intensive efforts, persistent rain, new damage, and ongoing clean-up work continue to delay the reopening.
A reassessment of the situation is scheduled for the middle of next week (Week 31). Access from the Tyrolean side to the Bielerhöhe and the Vermuntsee is still possible without restrictions. The restaurants on the Bielerhöhe are open. You can find further information via the link below.
The lakeside path on the western shore of the Silvrettasee is closed due to the risk of falling rocks - it is not possible to walk around it. The closure follows directly after the Kunstraum2032silvretta.
Wondering why the Vermuntsee and Silvrettasee lakes are so empty right now? The two reservoirs are being lowered as planned - an important measure that is necessary for the current general renovation of the Vermuntwerk. You can find more information about the lowering here.
