Directions

The tour starts at Silvretta Park Montafon (Valisera Cable Car valley station) in St. Gallenkirch and heads into the valley, past the Rifabecken reservoir, to the outskirts of Partenen. It continues through the Ganifer valley to Lake Kops, then on toward Galtür and along the Silvretta High Alpine Road to Lake Silvretta at over 2,000 m. Just below the dam, right next to the Piz Buin mountain inn (riding directly on the Bielerdamm is prohibited!), a gravel path branches off to the right. Follow this path to the rear parking lot at Silvrettasee. Along the eastern shore of Silvrettasee, you’ll reach the entrance to the Ochsental valley. Here begins the gravelly ascent through the Ochsental Valley to the Wiesbadener Hut, located at the foot of Piz Buin (3,312 meters). A particular highlight is the impressive view of the Ochsental Glacier in the immediate vicinity of the hut. The route back to the starting point follows the same path.

This route is valid due to the closure of the Silvretta High Alpine Road from 2026 to 2030!
